When I first started getting involved in online marketing, one of the people I looked up to was Noah Kagan. Sumo.com (one of Noah’s websites) was a daily read for me.
When I lived in Nashville, I somehow convinced him to come on my podcast. Since then, he and I have built a friendship. So, when he asked if I would do an interview for his YouTube channel, of course I agreed.
These interviews are always an honor. It’s strange for me to present myself in this light because the editing does a great job of making me look like I know exactly what I’m doing.
I promise you… I don’t. I still make mistakes every day.
Nonetheless, I always try to approach these with as much honesty and authenticity as possible. Enjoy. :)
Love you guys. Talk to you Monday.

I am missing something apparently in the YouTube app sumo … I am not seeing how a local directory of service providers can differentiate from native SEO? Maybe I am stupid, naive, etc… How about other directories like yelp, Angi’s list, home advisor… what would be differentiators from google search that would allow someone to dominate their city for “best roofers”. My thought was to scrape via google maps and sort by star rating… but that is repackaging what google already does. Would be helpful to clarify how this would work-
