Where do I start?
About two months ago, I met another entrepreneur on Twitter named Chris Riley. Chris has built a bunch of really cool healthcare sites. I’m in a similar vertical, so we hit it of. We chatted on the phone for a bit and I felt like I had made a new friend.
A few days later, he told me about a micro SaaS product he bought. It’s an AI writing assistant called Cuppa.sh. He asked if I might want to be involved.
We cut a deal and I know own 30% of Cuppa. The tool has gotten off to a great start with some instant buzz. In fact, Jackie Chou named it the fifth best AI writing tool online, which is awesome.
But that’s not the funny part. Keep reading.
So today, I decided to make an announcement about the partnership / acquisition. The tool is making sales and is already cash flow positive, so I thought today would be as good a day as ever.
From the jump, there was a lot of excitement. You can see some of the excitement on Twitter.
Okay, here’s the punchline.
It turns out, there is another website called “Cuppa.” Our website is cuppa.sh, and their website is cuppa.so.
So whoever owns Cuppa.so must have seen all the action on my LinkedIn profile. And so this person commented on every comment, basically pretending they were me, and pretending like they were the Cuppa product that I was talking about.
Of course, I have no idea who these people are or what their product does.
Hilarious. 😂😂😂
It’s so stupid and funny I can’t even be mad.
That's a crazy story. Give us an update if more to the story ends up happening.
