Areas of Self Improvement
Here are some areas I need to improve in my life:
Stop picking up my phone so much: My screen time is actually pretty low (in comparison to most people) because I don’t have social media on my phone. But I still have the terrible habit of randomly picking up my phone and looking at it. I’m going to stop doing this.
Writing every day: Even writing 150 words in the morning to clear my thoughts and set my intentions for the day has great positive impact on my life.
Just 20 minutes a day: Jules and I have a great fitness routine, but with the two kiddos, it’s hard to get to the gym every day and do full workouts. When this happens, I need to resort back to YouTube. The Body Coach is the perfect solution. On days where getting to the gym is impossible, I can still crush a workout in 20 minutes by doing one of his YouTube workouts.
Reading in the mornings: I love to read and I read every day, but most days I read as I am laying in bed and it’s not uncommon for me to get into bed with excitement to read my book and then be falling asleep before I finish the first page.
Stretching after Muay Thai: I’ve improved so much at my Muay Thai training. The gym I belong to now in Denver is much more traditional martial arts and my technique is improving by leaps and bounds. But one huge limitation I still have is my hip and lower back tension. After class I am always a bit anxious to get home and get back to the family, but it’s important I take at least 15 minutes for deep stretching while my body is still warm.
That’s all for now.
