I’ve spent the day driving around Denver looking for possible places to live.
I like it here. It’s got a cool vibe. I have great friends who live here and they have been asking me to move here for years.
I’m going through some transitional phase. I’m learning more about myself, what I want, who I want to become, and what it means to be a dad.
I know that it’s a safe bet to stick around Nashville, lay low, pay off my mortgage, and live on easy street.
But that’s not the type of people Jules and I are. We need to create a new adventure for our lives.
Nashville has some good things going for it, but it’s hard to want to participate in an economy that treats women like criminals for wanting to own their own reproductive rights.
But it’s more than that. Nashville feels safe.
I haven’t felt a lot of personal growth in myself.
Being a Dad demands growth out of me and so in that way, I know I have grown in leaps and bounds. But I’m referring to a different kind of growth. The sort of growth where I know I am challenging myself to do new things and to expand my horizons.
I’m 36 years old. On average, I’ve lived a little less than half of my life.
Time wont wait for me, or you, or anyone. I want to live the most amazing life possible. Why wouldn’t I? I won’t get a second chance at life.
So fuck it. Let’s leave Nashville. Let’s do something epic.
