Discover What's Missing w/ Emil Ekvardt - EP 106
When Emil was 16, he discovered his first obsession, online poker.
For 10 years, Emil dedicated his entire life to winning big in online poker. He wanted to continuously get better and quickly. Emil was playing 12 hour games, without breaks. This new environment was physically, mentally and emotionaly draining.
Emil used this challenge as an opportunity, and his excitement for poker spilled over into developing other skills in health, wellness, mental performance and emotional intelligence.
Emil was seeing success beyond anything he could ever imagine, but something was missing.
Emil started asking different questions. Instead of "how can I get rich" he started asking himself "what creates happiness?" or "how do I create deep meanginful relationships."
For 4 years, Emil didn't work. Instead he traveled, focused on his own personal development, relationships and public speaking. Emil now uses this work to help people as a personal development coach.
Eventually, Emil crossed paths with Erik Berkman. Erik and Emil joined up and created Great.com, which is a company that gives away 100% of it's profits.
Emil now works with Erik full time and he is a business developer and podcast host at great.com.
I am very excited about Great.com. I am thrilled to have met Erik and Emil and I love how they are using an entrepreneurial mind frame to expand charity work.
Emil and I had a very wide ranging conversation and I know you will love Emil's insight. Enjoy.
