We took the squad for a hike today. We went to “The Garden Of The Gods” in Colorado Springs.
We’ve driven past it many times and have always said we wanted to check it out, so today, we packed the car and went.
My assessment:
It’s very beautiful. I could see why Native American’s and even early settlers saw the place as magical. It is a strange red rock formation right in the middle of the Colorado desert. You could certainly feel all the ancient energy.
However, it was more touristy than I anticipated.
Jules and I (especially Jules) always find hikes that are more off the beaten path. We thought it would be more of a hike than it was. The path was paved and most of it was fenced off.
About halfway through, The Sweet Girl started having a meltdown. That made the peaceful walk turn a bit chaotic.
The Little Dude had a blast walking up and down the stairs, and it was fun to see him so excited.
Ultimately, it was a great afternoon and Jules and I had a great time. I’m glad we went.
Here are some pictures.
Looks incredible! Merry Christmas to you + fam
