Getting Focused
I’m feeling out of my routine.
Writing my blog every day is a great way for me to constantly evaluate how I’m feeling and how I’m performing my duties as a dad, husband, son, brother, and boss.
For the last month, I have put myself on the back burner. I’m feeling it.
No big deal. I haven’t fallen off any wagons, but the last week I could feel it.
So here we go …
Daily breathwork. I have time to meditate / do my breathe work. The busier I am, the more important it is for me to do.
Train Muay Thai twice a week. This has been very hard with the kiddos and bed time, bit that means I may have to go in the mornings.
Lower my caffeine. I just love coffee, but I need to lower the dosage.
Cardio. I’m lifting a lot, but my cardio is lacking. Even once a week is good enough.
Task assignments. The most important part of my day is the hour or so in the early morning when I assign out all the tasks. When I slip on this, tasks stack up on each other.
The cold. This is the biggest thing, because it’s an indicator to me that I’m avoiding the discomfort. The daily ice baths / cold showers are easiest part of my routine for me to say “ehhh I’ll do it tomorrow.” But it’s also what makes me feel the best.
Okay. Today is a new day.
