Hozier At Red Rocks
I’ve been thinking a lot about my blog.
I don’t promote this blog. Hardly anyone knows about it. So there are many times when I ask myself “who am I writing this for?”
And every time I ask myself that question, I remember the commitment I made when I started this project. I made the commitment to write to my son, so that one day, he will have an archive of memories to look back on.
In that spirit, I need my son to know about Red Rocks.
When I was a kid, I used to watch a DVD over and over again of Incubus playing at Red Rocks. I had never been out of Philly so to me, Red Rocks looked like this fantasy world.
About a week ago, I had the chance to see Hozier at Red Rocks.
Hozier is one of my favorite artists. He’s not typically the kind of artist I would be attracted to, but he’s so talented I find myself playing his music all the time.
Anyway, Hozier was coming to Red Rocks. Jules couldn’t make it and so I made the decision to take a trip to Red Rocks by myself.
The first time you go to Red Rocks is incredible. It’s one of the few experiences I’ve had where it was actually as mesmerizing as I thought it would be.
The show was great.
