I Want to Get Better

I don’t know why, but I woke up feeling a bit frazzled in certain areas of my life. Here’s where my head is at …
I want to improve my fitness. Jules and I have a great workout routine, but I haven’t been paying much attention to cardio and my diet has been less disciplined than usual. I always have to be careful here because I can get obsessive, but in my heart I know I could be doing better.
The podcast. This is the first month that our podcast numbers fell and I know it’s because I am not promoting it and giving it the attention it deserves. This month, I am going to focus on promoting the pod more.
Outdoor time. We live right next to a beautiful lake that has a stunning view of the mountains. You would think I would be going on more walks now that I live here, but I’ve been going on fewer. I have to keep my walks a priority.
Family time. My dad was in town this week and it made me realize that I haven’t been doing a good enough job of calling my cousins, my aunts, my uncles, and my grandmothers. It’s hard. With the kiddos, the days just fly by.
Less coffee. Let’s get something straight. I LOVE coffee. I will never give up coffee. I don’t drink, I don’t smoke, I don’t party, I don’t drink soda. Coffee is all I have left. BUT, I currently drink 1 1/2 cups in the morning and then another cup in the afternoon. I am going to replace my afternoon coffee with an afternoon green tea. I think that might help my jitters a bit. :)
Writing. I simply feel better when I write and read in the morning. Every morning I wake up and INSTANTLY get this rush of adrenaline to get to work. I’m happy because I am so excited about my work right now, but I need time to let my brain calibrate and fill my mind with positivity in the mornings.
