Love America
I heard something a while ago that stuck with me.
Someone was talking about the Russian people and about their support for the war. I can’t remember exactly where I heard it, but I remember watching a debate about what the true internal attitude for Russia’s war was, and someone said …
“The Russian’s are a proud people. They are proud to be Russian. American’s are the only one’s who are taught to hate their own country.”
Damn …
What’s most hysterical about the internal distain for America is that immigrants don’t feel that way. Immigrants are thrilled for the opportunity to live in the USA.
It’s only the people who have been here for a few generations that end up posting anti American hate on Twitter. So there will always be another round of people that come to America who appreciate it. Anyone else is probably unhealthy, safe, sheltered, hydrated, and bored. Because that is an unfortunate side effect of living with the immense abundance that our country provides. It makes you soft. When you don’t have real problems, you find problems to have and hardships to latch onto.
I’m not there yet. I still have a great appreciation and admiration for our country. There is no where else in the world I would rather be.
