My life ... In shambles
As you know, we are moving to Denver.
We spent last week packing all of our belongings into a shipping container. Then a big truck came and drove away with all our belongings. As such, we are living in an empty house.
To make our lives crazier, Jules and I flew to Philly with both the kiddos to introduce Willow to my mom and to see my grandmother. We’ve been sleeping on an air mattress in my dad’s basement the last two nights.
We are finally at that stage of psychosis caused by sleep deprivation. But we’re hanging on. (Barely …)
It’s been a good trip. I did my best to stay present and to be in the moment. I loved seeing my mom hold baby Willow for the first time.
While at my mother’s my childhood neighbors (they’re basically my brothers and sisters) all came to my mom’s and we got to watch our kids play with each other. It was a moment.
Anyway, the air mattress has been unforgiving. My daughter has a vendetta against us and we have to live in an empty house for the next two weeks until we officially move.
I’ve never been happier.
