My Perfect Morning Productivity Routine
The mornings are the most important part of my day. When I am making the most of my mornings, I am getting the most out of my life.
This week is a bit of a recalibration period for me. Tonight was the first night in years that Jules and I both slept through the night all the way till 6 am. We both usually wake up at 4:30 anyway, but the revelation is that we are FINALLY getting the sweet girl to sleep through the night.
A full night sleep, I’m operating on a higher frequency right now.
We’re finally at a point where we get back to our routines. Jules and I are both pretty habitual,, which I why we are both "high achievers.”
With all that being said, what does my perfect productivity morning look like?
I wake up, I chug half of my water jug, and then I pour a cup of coffee. Water before coffee always.
I read for 30 minutes and take notes. I have a binder with all the book outlines I’ve written over the years and this truly has been my masters degree in sales, business, marketing, and copywriting. The best way to start the day is by pumping knowledge, inspiration and new skills into my brain.
I then open the blank page, and I start writing about whatever it is that comes to mind.
I then open up loom and todoist and I assign the tasks to my team. My teammates in Brazil and in The Philippines both rely on me creating very detailed instructional videos so they can work efficiently in different time zones. When I am organized and consistent with my task assignment, then Copyblogger, Sober Nation and TimStodz all operate at a higher level.
By this time, it’s 6:30ish, and the monkey man and the sweet girl are waking up. So I can relax for a bit and eat a full, healthy breakfast and watch monkey man thump around the living room. My breakfast almost always consistent of …
2 Kodiak cake waffles
3 farm raised eggs (with the yolk)
broccoli
shitloads of Keri Gold Irish butter and local maple syrup.
Bam … At this point it’s usually around 8. I’ve completed almost everything I need to do for the day. Now, I go to the gym. (Side note - sometimes I skip the gym in the mornings if I have Muay Thai training in the afternoon.)
The most important part about the gym is that I leave my phone in the locker so that Jules and I can talk and be present for each other and help each other with our workouts.
When I get home, I shower, do 3 minutes of freezing cold (I live in Denver so believe me, the shower is really cold), make another cup of coffee and sit back down to t
For the next 30 days, I will do my best to follow my perfect morning routine every morning.
