I just finished eating a slice of apple pie with vanilla ice cream. As of right now, I am starting a 30 day sugar cleanse.
Understand, I have nothing left.
I don’t smoke
I don’t drink.
I don’t party.
I don’t enjoy a cigar with my friends.
I don’t eat fast food. (Gross)
Other than watching American Idol, I don’t have any guilty pleasures.
Except for chocolate.
I fucking love chocolate. I love it so much. It’s perfect. It’s delicious. It makes me feel like life is beautiful and meant to be enjoyed.
Since I’m an all or nothing person, I don’t know how to enjoy chocolate in moderation. Once I open up the chocolate flood gates, it’s over. Before I know it, I’m sneaking Milky Ways in at Home Depot and stashing the wrappers in my glove box. (True story, it’s basically an inside joke now between Jules and I).
But seriously, I know I have been stressed and I know I have been eating too much sugar to cope with it. It doesn’t line up with my goals and the way I want my body to perform during my workouts. So I’m gonna stop eating sugar.
My aim is to go 30 days with no sugar at all, then maybe I’ll open it back up to Sunday Treat Day.
