We’re back in Massachusetts.
It was great to get back to my in-laws house and see the kiddos. I’m grateful to be back in the US of A, but Paris was incredible.
I’m enjoying sharing pictures with you. Once again, I will save you the novel and get straight to the good stuff.
The last day in Toulouse.
We ended the day with one last walk around the city. Most importantly, I had one more chocolate croissant and cappuccino at our favorite place called The Coffee Pot.
Next, we took some cute pictures of other corner stores, churches, and bakeries.
I loved Toulouse. Can’t wait to return.
A night in Paris.
We caught the train and headed back to Paris.
Paris is everything you think it is. There were people in every street corner drinking wine and coffee.
People were lined up on every sidewalk, having conversations and sitting at cafes.
It was beautiful. And so cool. Here’s the view from our hotel room.
We got dinner at the restaurant under our hotel.
I got snails. 🐌
Let me tell you something very important. Snails are delicious.
Idk what I was expecting when I ate my first snail. I wanted to try it so I could try new things. But I was not expecting it to be the most delicious thing I ate on the entire trip.
Here’s a picture of me eating a snail for the firs time. And before you say something, I know that my shirt is awesome.
I’ve heard in the past that the Eiffel Tower is a tourist trap, and that all the people swarming it and taking pictures ruin the experience.
I did not feel that at all.
We could see the top of the tower from our hotel room, so I felt like I knew what to expect. I was wrong.
I will never forget the feeling I had when I turned the corner and saw the full display of the Eiffel Tower.
It gave me butterflies.
I’ve never seen a building so beautiful. It’s like it’s alive and like it knows it’s beautiful.
Jules and I were on cloud nine. We walked around for another 45 minutes, got desert, and went to bed with full bellies and grateful hearts.
The next morning.
We walked more. Most importantly, I found the best chocolate croissant in the entire country.
I’m glad to be home with the kiddos. I have another adventure lined up a few days from now that I am excited to share with you.
For now, I will continue to be grateful for another amazing trip with my favorite person.
My favorite lines--"I’ve never seen a building so beautiful. It’s like it’s alive and like it knows it’s beautiful." I love your exuberance for life.
Thank you so much for sharing your lovely Parisian trip with me. I love that remarkable city! Was there last in 1983! Gosh, time just is flying by too fast.
