Remember What You Have
Last night, I was attacked by a demon.
I’ll save you the visuals, but let’s just say I was sick. Real sick. Some bug got into the home and the entire family was knocked out. If it wasn’t so miserable it would have been funny. We will laugh about it when we’re feeling better.
Last night, as I was in between fever dreams, I had a though. Something told me …
“Try to remember how bad you feel right now, so you won’t take your health for granted when you’re feeling better.”
One of the most important quotes I’ve ever heard is …
“A healthy man wants everything, a sick man only wants one thing.”
We’ve all been here. Puking in a bucket and thinking that you would do anything to feel better. When you’re sick, your priorities come into focus. You suddenly realize how small all your problems actually are and how much you torture yourself with the feelings of wanting more and trying to elevate status.
If you have your health, you have everything you need.
I’m still feeling pretty banged up. My face is pale and my eyes have that fever feeling behind them. But I am feeling grateful to be healthy.
