Some Exciting Updates
I’ve been enjoying the last few mornings of not writing.
Typically, when I set some goal for myself, I put way too much pressure on myself to complete my goal. So in the past, when I would set out to “write every day”, if I would miss a day I would really beat myself up about it.
But this time around, I’m not feeling that way.
The reasoning is that I know I’ve had more important things to deal with.
With that, I’d like to share some things going on that I am really excited about.
1. Stodzy is Crushin It
Last year, we brought Austin onto the team. Austin is our sales manager. Although it has required some training, Austin is developing himself into a phenomenal sales rep and we are so grateful to have him.
It’s been a real advantage not having to personally write every proposal and take every phone call.
This way I can focus on SEOing the site and closing the deals. The results speak for themselves.
The amount of phone calls and leads coming into the site has been great.
This is why SEO remains the most effective marketing channel. It compounds on itself unlike anything else.
The business is thriving and I am happy about it. It’s been a lot of hard work.
2. Sober Nation Rebuild
We have been rebuilding Sober Nation. I’ve never been this excited about a new design / rebrand in my life. The site is going to display information in a way that is so much more valuable for the end user.
Google has changed a lot over the years, and we need to adjust accordingly.
Here’s a link to the new site to check it out for yourself.
3. My Backyard is Getting a Makeover
I am so freaking excited about this.
Ever since we moved here, we have always talked about hiring a landscape architect to fix our yard. Since I hate spending money, I admit I was reluctant to do so.
Finally, we bit the bullet and went for it and I am so happy we did. I wish I didn’t wait to long.
We hired a local company called Music City Hardscapes, and they have done such a phenomenal job.
We still have to create the bird sanctuary in the corner and we are creating a rig to hang up hipster lights above our back porch. But the job is coming to an end.
You can see some pics below.
These pictures don’t even show the bird sanctuary and some more bushes we ran along the side fence.
I can’t tell you how much I love coming down my stairs and seeing my beautiful back yard. Much love to Phillip for doing such a great job.
Anyway, that’s what I’ve been up to.
I’ll have some more really exciting updates in the next coming weeks. We are haulin’ ass over here trying to make magic happen.
Stay tuned.
