The 5 and 5
Hey there.
It’s been more than a week since I last published a blog. There’s no reason for the hiatus other than I didn’t feel like writing. I’ve been in a self reflective period. I don’t know if I mentioned it to you (I know I wrote about it on TimStodz.com), but I recently read a book called A CEO Only Does 3 Things, and it totally changed my perspective on how I should spend my time.
As such, I’ve spent the last few days allowing my mind to venture off. I’ve stayed focused on the things that matter, and I feel like I’m elevating to a new level.
This book was the first time in my life where I finally felt like I am able to give myself permission to NOT act on every thought that comes into my head.
Anyway, I’m back.
So … about the 5 and 5.
Jules walked in the front door yesterday after taking a walk. She says …
“BABE! I WANT YOU TO DO A CHALLENGE WITH ME.”
“Oh shit” I thought.
She wants to do 5 daily tasks every day for 5 weeks.
I said yes and agreed to join her on this 5 week challenge. Here are my daily tasks.
Write and publish every day.
Cold plunge every day (the trick here for me is that I have to commit to jumping in the tank in the mornings. I fucking HATE the cold plunge at 4:30 AM, but I have to do it.)
Wim Hof breathe work every day. (I use this guided meditation).
Work out every day (except for Fridays which is my rest day, but I’ll go for a walk on Fridays).
Read every morning.
Okay. Let’s do it.
