The 6 Success Tenets
Last month, I was deep down a rabbit hole learning about organ meat. I brought up the topic to Jules and she told me about The Liver King.
At first, I was taken back by this Greek statue looking freak of nature, but then I followed him on Instagram and I love what he stands for.
Do I plan to transition my diet to an all organic and raw meat diet? No. But, I am definitely going to start adding liver and bone marrow into my diet, and I certainly plan to keep watching him on Instagram, because he gets me really inspired.
Liver King lives by what he calls the Ancestral Tenets. More or less, it’s a mission statement and framework for his lifestyle, his company, and his message.
This weekend, I was cutting the grass and I was thinking about my tenets.
If I had to summarize my message, how would I do that?
It’s an exercise I want to spend some time on, here is my best first draft.
1. Write everyday - Good writing is the highest form of thinking. Good thinking is the highest form of decision making. Good decision making is the pathway to spiritual, mental, and physical health.
2. Teach everything you know - There is only abundance in sharing information. Sharing my knowledge and experience is a spiritual exercise. It is up to the receiver as to whether they want to keep my knowledge or not. It is my duty to share.
3. Default to curiosity - It is better to be curious than right. If I am ever feeling angry, defensive, upset, or frustrated, my first reaction should be to observe as opposed to critique. This is true for relationships with others as much as it is true for the relationship with myself.
4. Seek discomfort - Comfort is not the optimal living standard. All growth is uncomfortable. I must always monitor my comfort levels in health, business, and life and seek out that which calls me.
5. Live with intention - There is nothing more tragic than time wasted. Living with intention is how to maximize the value of time. Life can be lived in all forms of intensity, and each level is most appreciated if it is done intentionally.
6. Accept responsibility - I am responsible for my life. I am responsible for my emotions, for my reactions, my outlook, my gratitude and ultimately, I am responsible for everything that happens to me in my life.
That’s all I have for now.
I will keep thinking on it. I like that these rules apply to health, wealth, love and happiness. They are ubiquitous. I like that.
Talk to you tomorrow.
