My wife sent me a funny Instagram post today.
It was the reminder I needed.
In today’s issue, I want to remind you that you’re doing better than you think and that you’re right where you’re supposed to be.
LFG. 🔥
When It’s Just Not Good Enough
Do you feel like you’re not doing good enough? That’s tough, but guess what? Everyone else feels the same way.
You’re not special.
A few weeks ago, I told my business coach that no matter how well I do, I always feel like I’m falling short. She told me that all her students share the same two fears:
I don’t think I’m good enough.
I’m afraid I won’t be loved.
It hit me hard because I thought I was the only one who felt this way. Why can’t I shake the nagging feeling that I’m not living up to my fullest potential?
It turns out this feeling is a survival mechanism. We’re hardwired to experience anxiety. First, it keeps us cautious and away from danger. Second, those without anxiety were less likely to survive and pass on their genes.
So, quite literally, we are anxious by design.
There’s relief in knowing you’re not alone in this. Everyone feels it. The best thing you can do is acknowledge it and talk about it. Chances are, others want to talk about it just as much as you do.
The Cure for Overwhelm and Anxiety
When I got sober, my sponsor taught me something I’ll never forget:
“Anxiety is living in the past, and fear is living in the future. If you want serenity, stay in the present moment.”
It really is that simple, though not always easy. The method, however, is clear.
Today, I felt a lot of anxiety.
We’re putting my son in a new daycare. It’s more expensive and further away, but his current daycare is starting to have some behavioral effects.
I’ve been trying for three days to record a YouTube video and feel like I’m wasting time by not publishing more.
The Sweet Girl was up all night sick, and since I’ve been up the last two nights with The Little Dude because he was sick, Juliana volunteered to stay up last night so I could sleep. For some reason, when my wife doesn’t sleep, I feel more stressed than when I don’t sleep.
I know these are high-class problems, but my mind exaggerates everything and convinces me it’s all a bigger deal than it is.
Stay in the Moment by Doing What’s Right in Front of You
I planned on getting a new YouTube video recorded, because it’s a priority for me to keep publishing videos. I tried my best to squeeze it in, but during the 30 minutes I had open, I decided to go for a walk with Jules instead.
I had two sales calls today and two yesterday. Between calls, I wrote two proposals that could bring in an additional $16,000 a month in revenue. Tomorrow, I’ll write two more proposals that could bring in another $9,000 a month.
It wasn’t fun work, but it was important. I did the work that was right in front of me, and that’s always the right choice.
I got these tasks completed, one by one, and crossed them off my power list. By the end of the day, I felt very good and I couldn’t remember why I was even stressed out in the first place.
In my experience, people often sacrifice the results they want by doing what feels good in the moment. They make the YouTube video instead of writing the proposals. But the work staring you in the face is usually the work that needs to be done.
This applies to life as much as it does to business.
Because I made the right sacrifices, I get to go to bed tonight knowing I did what mattered most. I’m a better person for it.
And as a bonus, I get to enjoy the rewards of doing the work that truly matters.

The way to succeed is to go ahead, then you can find the right way and right thing that are suitable for you. Never look back.
The pathway you have adventured on became your history. What is history? History is a study for you to go forward. History is to tell you to do the successful issues forever., to be remined of not doing the failure issues again and again.
For me, I have the following ways to overcome the anxiety:
There is no need to worry about the things that will be happening or may be happening. It is because it is difficult for you to predict the outcomes.
When things have happened, there is no need for you to think again. It is because you cannot change the results.
Honestly, anxiety can not only happen in adulthoods, but also can happen in childhood, adolescence, or even in elderly people. We are all living in an anxious community. We are all bound by anxiety. Our lives are all about anxiety. Many of them are out of control.
Stoddart, you have many times introduced books for us. This time, I introduce a book for you. The “Anxious Generation” is the best international bestseller which is written by Jonathan Haidt and the book is also recommended by Bill Gates to read.
Finally, I have the following word out:
Every day is a single day for you to restart
Every day is a single day for you to forget the bad issues came from yesterday
Every day is a single day for you to do better than yesterday
Every day is a single day for you to adventure and remember the miracle moment
Every day is a single day to go to sleep in time and wait for the next day to restart the process.
