Thinking Big
I’ve been told that I’m confident, and I suppose in many ways I am. I’ve always felt like I could speak up or like I could hold my own in an argument or have an opinion.
There’s a difference between confidence and belief.
Belief comes from experience. Belief comes from the ability to say and to know in your heart that you can handle whatever comes up next. Belief comes from being able to say “I’ve been here before.”
Confidence can be faked, but belief can’t be. Because belief can’t be portrayed. It’s internal. You either believe in yourself or you don’t.
For me, building true belief in myself took about 20 years. I think that’s the case for most people.
It’s all coming together. I believe.
