Thinking Like a Rich Person
It takes just as much work to earn a yearly salary than it does to earn distubutions at scale.
I was more exhausted when I was earning $12 an hour than I am now. The effort isn’t the differentiator for me. I grew up with an emphasis on working hard, so no matter what I’ve done in my life, I’ve always bee the hardest worker in the room.
What changed was the conversations I was having.
What changed is I started to realize that spending my time on one area will have a different outcome than spending my time on something else.
Where your focus goes, your energy flows.
But there’s a flip side to this as well.
In a lot of cases, people who spend their time only in conversations that increase their wealth don’t have the same level of fulfilment in their lives. Just because your proffesion or your hobbies don’t have the same earning potential, doesn’t mean it’s not worth spending your time on it.
Money will not buy you happiness, but it will buy you a jet ski. (and I’ve never seen someone miserable while riding a jet ski.)
If your goal is to generate wealth, you need to think like a wealthy person. If your goal is to genearate fulfilment, you need to think like someone searching for contentment.
The best part is, it’s completely possible to have both.
