Tips For Cold Email
All my sales experience is from using content marketing and SEO to generate inbound leads, and then closing them. I’ve never done cold outreach before.
I am reading and learning everything I can.
This morning I read an article from Woodpecker.co. Here are the bullet points.
The “from” line matters. I am going to customer my from line to “From: Tim at Treatmentleads.net.”
The intro matters. It’s not about me, it’s about them. Personalize it with their business. Don’t talk about me. However, I am going to avoid the same “I read your {blog} on LinkedIn, I really liked when you spoke about {insert random ass shit here.} I get these emails all the time and I don’t think I’ve read or even opened a single one.
Include value: I am going to record a personalized Loom video for every email. Pack it with value.
End the email with a CTA. My CTA is going to be to book an appointment with me. Meetings are the goal. If I get on the phone with someone, I can sell them.
Create an email signature.
A cold email should be 2 - 5 sentences, and should be anywhere from 50 - 125 words. No longer.
Follow up with multiple emails. Definitely don’t say “I’m just following up.”
K. Wish me luck. Today is the start of something new.
This is the road to $10M.
