Why You Should Stop Fu*ki#g Around And Hire A Business Coach
My honest advice to anyone wondering what they should do next.
Coaching has a bad reputation.
It’s not hard to understand why. Most business coaches have never actually built a business, so it’s tough to take their endless motivational LinkedIn posts seriously.
But in today’s issue, I want to argue that hiring a business coach is something you should seriously consider investing in.
LFG. 🔥
Yes, I Have a Business Coach
My coach’s name is Michelle, and she is very expensive. When she first told me her prices, I immediately recoiled and decided I’d never spend “that kind of money” on a coach.
Years later, I can honestly say that the investment has paid for itself at least thirty times over.
Why?
Because business is all about decision-making.
Decision-making is a skill. It’s something you can practice, refine, and improve. As an entrepreneur, every outcome in my life and business stems directly from the decisions I make.
The same applies to you.
What Could Be More Important Than Investing In Your Decision Making?
Would you agree that your success depends on the choices you make?
If yes, then why do so many of us avoid investing in this critical skill? Instead, we spend money on:
Material items
Entertainment
Escapism
Status symbols
Junk food
Impressing people we don’t even like
Ironically, wasting money on these things reflects the very type of decision making that keeps you from reaching your potential. The money spent on these distractions proves you do have the resources to invest in a coach.
Yet for some reason, we struggle to value intangible skills and assets, even though they often provide the greatest returns.
Find a Real Coach, Spend the Money, and Commit
One of the biggest objections I hear is, “I can’t afford it.”
I’ve been there. I know what it’s like to be broke and hungry. I’ve hit rock bottom, and I empathize with those struggling to make ends meet.
My goal here is not to shame anyone. Instead, I want to offer some perspective.
In most cases, when people say they can’t afford something, what they really mean is that it’s not a priority.
Here’s how I know:
Think back to a time when you met someone you were instantly drawn to. You felt that electric connection, and all you wanted was to spend time with them.
What were you willing to do to make that happen? Did you spend money you didn’t technically have? Did you sacrifice sleep or shift your priorities? Did you stay up till 2 in the morning even though you had to be up at 5am to go home, shower, and get to work?
Be honest …
Chances are, you found a way because it mattered to you.
When something is a true priority, you make it happen.
The same principle applies to success.
We all get what we truly want. The question is: What do you really want, and how badly do you want it?
I’m willing to bet that most of you wouldn’t hesitate to spend $1,000 on clothes or status symbols to impress a potential partner. Yet ironically, what’s most attractive to potential mates is having your life together. This is something that comes from making better decisions.
Make the Commitment and Invest in Yourself
Is success a priority for you? Your spending and screen time probably say otherwise.
Find a real coach, make the investment, and commit to the process.
Your future self will thank you.
Love you guys. Talk to you tomorrow.

As someone who's hired business coaches many times, I'm very critical of this idea these days. Business coaches are inherently limited by what they know. They are just one person. They can't know everything.
Even if they've achieved what you want to achieve, they are not you. They had different starting points and different life circumstances. If you do exactly what they tell you to do, it's still highly unlikely you will get the same results.
These days, I'm a huge proponent of communities. I'm part of several, and I love the ability to ask any question I want and get the most insightful answers from several people. After spending tens of thousands of dollars on business coaches over the years, I now spend a fraction of it on these communities and get much better results.
