As someone who's hired business coaches many times, I'm very critical of this idea these days. Business coaches are inherently limited by what they know. They are just one person. They can't know everything.

Even if they've achieved what you want to achieve, they are not you. They had different starting points and different life circumstances. If you do exactly what they tell you to do, it's still highly unlikely you will get the same results.

These days, I'm a huge proponent of communities. I'm part of several, and I love the ability to ask any question I want and get the most insightful answers from several people. After spending tens of thousands of dollars on business coaches over the years, I now spend a fraction of it on these communities and get much better results.

Totally. I think this is totally legit as well. I suppose I should write another one just about investing in your education. I belong to communities as well as run The Incubator, which is a great way to learn.

But for me, the accountability of my coach has been hugely beneficial to me.
